To reduce a length of a rod-like spacer and reduce a weight of a buckling restraining brace.SOLUTION: A buckling restraining brace 1 comprises a core material 2 having joints 22 at both ends of a plate 21 in a longitudinal direction for joining with other members, a restraining material 3 disposed opposite each face of the plate 21 orthogonal to a weak axial direction and having a storage recess 31b on a longitudinal end side to store the base side of the joint 22 and a rod-like spacer 35 disposed between the end face of the core material 2 in a strong axial direction and an inner surface of a rising portion 311 of the restraining material 3 opposite the end face in the strong axial direction to restrict movement of the core material 2 in the strong axial direction. The rod-like spacer 35 is a short object that does not reach both ends in the longitudinal direction of the restraining material 3, and on both ends in the longitudinal direction of the restraining material 3, a rising wall portion 31c forming the storage recess 31b receives the base side of the joint 22 of the core material 2, thereby regulating a movement of the core material 2 in the strong axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】棒状スペーサの長さを短くし、座屈拘束ブレースの軽量化を図ることを課題とする。【解決手段】座屈拘束ブレース1は、板状体21の長辺方向の両端に他部材との接合のための接合部22を有した芯材2と、板状体21の弱軸方向に直交する各面に対向して配置されるとともに、長辺方向の端部側に接合部22の上記基部側を収容する収容凹部31bを有する拘束材3と、芯材2の強軸方向の端面と当該強軸方向の端面に対向する拘束材3の立上部311の内面との間に配置されて当該芯材2の上記強軸方向の移動を規制する棒状スペーサ35と、を備える。上記棒状スペーサ35は、拘束材3の長辺方向の両端に至らない短尺物であり、拘束材3の長辺方向の両端側では、収容凹部31bを形成する立上壁部31cが芯材2の接合部22の上記基部側を受け止めることで、当該芯材2の上記強軸方向の移動規制を担う。【選択図】図3
