To provide a mechanical parking system to prevent a vehicle from falling from a carrier.SOLUTION: A carrier 10 according to the present invention is a carrier of a mechanical parking system 1 and is transported between the entry position, where a vehicle C can enter, and the storage position, where the vehicle is stored. The carrier has a carrying body 11 with a placing surface 11a on which the vehicle is placed, and a tire stopper 16 that is placed on the placing surface and restricts the movement of a first tire TRr out of the plurality of tires T provided at the vehicle placed on the placing surface. The tire stopper has movement regulating members 161F, 161R that regulate the movement of the first tire and friction force increasing members 163F, 163R that increase the friction force against the placing surface. The friction force increasing members are attached to the lower surfaces 161Fa, 161Ra of the movement regulating members. The tire stopper is elastically deformed when subjected to a load from the first tire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
