To provide an electronically controlled door latch capable of being operated in a crash operating state for several hours such as a few days.SOLUTION: An electronically controlled door latch 1 for an automobile 2 includes: a system base chip 3 configured to receive a main supply voltage Vbatt from a main power source 6 of the automobile 2 during a normal operating state and to receive a backup supply voltage Vsc during a crash operating state; an electric motor 4 configured to actuate the electronically controlled door latch 1 based on the main supply voltage Vbatt during the normal operating state and the backup supply voltage Vsc during the crash operating state; and an electronic control unit 5 configured to enter a sleep state during a sleep operating state when being triggered by the system base chip 3, enter a sleep release state during the normal operating state and the crash operating state, and control the electric motor 4 during the normal operating state and during the crash operating state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
