To provide a building component made of a wood material capable of increasing out-of-plane rigidity and in-plane rigidity.SOLUTION: A building component 1 comprises an upper chord 2, a lower chord 3, a plurality of upper and lower connectors 4, and diagonal components 5. Diagonal components 5A, of the diagonal components 5, arranged on one side of the center in a first direction X of the upper chord 2 are inclined in the vertical direction so as to approach one side in the first direction X as they extend downward, and diagonal components 5B, of the diagonal components 5, arranged on the other side of the center in the first direction X of the upper chord 2 are inclined in the vertical direction so as to approach the other side in the first direction X as they extend downward. The upper chord 2, the lower chord 3, the upper and lower connectors 4 and the diagonal components 5 are formed of wood materials. The upper and lower connectors 4 include: a bundle member 41 formed of square timber and connecting the upper chord 2 and the lower chord 3; and a wall member 46 formed in a flat plate shape with a plate surface facing in a second direction Y perpendicular to the first direction X and the vertical direction and connecting the upper chord 2 and the lower chord 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
