HEAT-RESISTANT CLAY RAW MATERIAL AND HEAT-RESISTANT PORCELAIN
To provide a heat-resistant clay raw material, which is a raw material for heat-resistant porcelain having sufficient durability for practical use, and a heat-resistant porcelain obtained as a fired product of the heat-resistant clay raw material.SOLUTION: A heat-resistant clay raw material includes clay, a fused quartz, and a strength-enhancing material. The strength-enhancing material is at least one of an iron-source material and a magnesium-source material, the bending strength of a fired product formed with the heat-resistant clay raw material is 10% or greater than the bending strength of a fired product formed with a heat-resistant clay raw material having the same composition except not including the strength-enhancing material, the heat-resistant clay raw material contains 0.1 to 80 mass% of strength-improving material relative to the whole of the heat-resistant clay raw material and the linear expansion coefficient of the fired product of the heat-resistant clay raw material is 0.1 to 5.0×10-6/K from room temperature to 700°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
