To provide a method for manufacturing a metal-impregnated ceramic fired body which can contribute to an increase in product yield.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a metal-impregnated ceramic fired body includes: a step 1 for preparation of a first metal-impregnated ceramic fired body, including impregnating a ceramic formed body with a metal by heating up to at least the melting point of the metal; and a step 2 for preparation of a second metal-impregnated ceramic fired body with a lower metal impregnation level than that of the first metal-impregnated ceramic fired body, including removing a part of the metal with which the first metal-impregnated ceramic fired body has been impregnated, by re-heating the first metal-impregnated ceramic fired body up to at least the melting point of the metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
