To provide a novel centrifugal brake with infinitely adjustable braking force.SOLUTION: A pair of adjusting members 26a and 26b, which can rotate around an adjusting axis o2 intersecting the axis of rotation o1, are connected so that their inner surfaces face each other in the direction of the adjusting axis o2, and the inner surfaces of the connected pair of adjusting members 26a and 26b contact and slide on the outer surface of a weight 18 to define a cylindrical sliding inner surface 32, and a plurality of regions (main adjustment pieces 38x, 38y, 38z) with different friction coefficients are circumferentially adjacent to each other around the adjustment axis o2 on the inner surfaces of each of the pair of adjustment members 26a and 26b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
