To reduce construction cost for installing a guard fence.SOLUTION: A method of constructing a guard fence 1 comprises the steps of: constructing a support structure 10 on a base ground G at a predetermined interval, and attaching a guard net 30 to the support structure 10. The step of constructing the support structure 10 comprises the stages of: embedding a base steel pipe 11 with both ends opened in the base ground G; installing a support steel pipe 15 with both ends opened inside the base steel pipe 11; filling mortar M into a clearance S between the base steel pipe 11 and the support steel pipe 15; and filling the mortar M into the support steel pipe 15 from an opening 15b on the upper-end side of the support steel pipe 15. The support steel pipe 15 has a through hole 15c at a position exposed to the ground side in a state of being installed in the base ground G inside the base steel pipe 11, and is filled with the mortar M until the mortar M flows out from the through hole 15c in the second filling step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
