To provide a work machine capable of calculating the weight of transported items.SOLUTION: The work machine includes: an attachment that is attached rotatably to an upper rotating body; a grip unit that is attached rotatably to the attachment for gripping long items to be transported; a transported item weight calculation unit that calculates the weight of the items to be transported based on the torque required for rotating the attachment. The transported item weight calculation unit calculates the weight of the items after the grip unit is moved to a predetermined position with the grip unit gripping the transported items.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
