To provide an erection support device 5 of an upper column 1 which improves safety when the upper column 1 is erected, and supports erection of the upper column 1.SOLUTION: An erection support device 5 of an upper column 1 includes a lower column side base part 32 of a lower column 2, an upper column side base part 31 of the upper column 1, a connection arm 33 for pivotably connecting the upper column side base part 31 to the lower column side base part 32, and a fall prevention mechanism part 40 for preventing fall of the upper column 1, wherein the fall prevention mechanism part 40 includes a rail member 50 mounted on a floor slab 4, and an angle-brace member 60 whose one end is pivotably connected to the upper column 1, and the other end is slid and moved on the rail member 50, the rail member 50 includes an engaged wall part 53 with which the other end of the angle-brace member 60 is engaged in a separation direction Yb, and the other end of the angle-brace member 60 includes an engagement part 66 which is rotatably supported with a front and rear direction X as a rotation axis and is engaged with the engaged wall part 53 of the rail member 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
