To provide a sound insulation structure that realizes improved sound insulation of a building, and a building with improved sound insulation.SOLUTION: A sound insulation structure 100 includes two longitudinally shaped sidings 5, 5 arranged with their end faces 51, 51 facing each other, and a base support member 1 that supports the sidings 5, 5 with the end faces 51, 51 spaced apart from each other. The base support member 1 has a first support 11 that supports an end portion of one of the sidings 5 in the longitudinal direction, a second support 12 that supports an end portion of the other siding 5 in the longitudinal direction, and a sound insulation material 3 arranged between the first support 11 and the second support 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
