To provide a reinforcement member that easily ensures initial rigidity during an earthquake.SOLUTION: A reinforcement member 20 which bridges across a wooden member (covering material 14B) on one side and another wooden member (covering material 12B) on the other side has a first fixing member (lag screw bolt 22A) which is fixed to the wooden member on one side and has a first thread part protruding from the wooden member on one side, a second fixing member (lag screw bolt 22B) that is fixed to the wooden member on the other side and has a second thread part protruding from the wooden member on the other side toward the first thread part, a first long nut (long nut 24A) that is screwed into the first thread part, a second long nut (long nut 24B) that is screwed into the second thread part, and a body part (round steel 28), wherein, the first bolt screwed into the first long nut and the second bolt screwed into the second long nut are respectively screwed into the body part, with one of these bolts being reverse-threaded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
