To maintain security while simply updating information to be used by an electronic lock device for authentication processing.SOLUTION: An authentication apparatus includes: a storage unit; an acquisition unit which acquires first information for confirming the validity regarding a first user based on electromagnetic waves output from a first electronic device and second information on a second user for which the validity is authenticated after the first user; and an authentication unit which authenticates the validity of the first user based on the first information acquired by the acquisition unit and causes the storage unit to store the second information when the authentication for the first user is successful. When the acquisition unit acquires third information for confirming the validity regarding the second user, the third information being output from the second electronic device, the authentication unit authenticates the validity of the second user on the basis of the third information and the second information stored in the storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
