To provide a sediment trapping fence requiring a small installation width while considering cost performance.SOLUTION: The sediment trapping fence to be installed in a mountain stream includes: multiple supports installed vertically or perpendicular to the installation ground; a diagonal member that is installed diagonally at the upstream side of the support and extends downward; and a beam member supported at the upstream side of either the multiple supports or the diagonal member. The beam member is provided with a mounting plate with a downstream main plane which abuts an upstream mounting surface of either the support or the diagonal member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
