To guard columns against object contact.SOLUTION: A water cutoff device involves a state with waterstop boards locked in which waterstop boards 20 are engagingly locked to two columns 10, 10 that stand with a lateral interval, and a state with the aforesaid waterstop boards removed in which the waterstop boards 20 are taken away from the two columns 10, 10.
