본 발명은 자동차 파쇄 잔류물에 잔류하는 중금속을 칼슘을 포함하는 분산제와 알칼리 인산염을 이용하여 고정화하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 자동차 파쇄 잔류물(ASR) 내에 존재하는 중금속의 고정화하는 상기 방법은 열처리(소각)된 자동차 파쇄 잔류물(ASR)과 칼슘을 함유하는 분산제 및 알칼리 인산염을 혼합하는 단순한 공정으로 자동차 파쇄 잔류물 내에 함유하는 중금속을 효과적으로 고정화할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 방법에 의해 생성되는 복합체는 시멘트 콘크리트, 아스팔트 혼합물, 유황 바인더(sulfur polymer binder)의 골재 또는 첨가제로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
