The present invention relates to an expansion joint apparatus and a construction method thereof, wherein the expansion joint apparatus comprises: a pair of anchor units spaced from each other in a longitudinal direction while facing each other; a pair of expansion joint plate units each formed on the end of an inner side of the opposite anchor units, and disposed to be spaced from each other by a predetermined distance while having a structure in which the expansion joint plate units are engaged with each other; and an expansion connection unit located between the expansion joint plate units and shape-varied in response to contraction and expansion of the expansion joint plate units.
본 발명은 서로 마주보며 길이방향으로 서로 이격 배치되는 한 쌍의 앵커부와, 서로 마주보는 한 쌍의 앵커부의 내측 단부에 각각 형성되고, 서로 맞물리는 구조를 가지며 일정거리 이격 배치되는 한 쌍의 신축이음 플레이트부와, 한 쌍의 신축이음 플레이트부 사이에 위치되며 신축이음 플레이트부의 수축 또는 팽창에 대응하여 형상이 가변되는 신축연결부로 구성되는 신축이음장치 및 신축이음장치의 시공방법에 관한 것이다.
