The present invention relates to a gable roof replacement method. More specifically, the gable roof replacement method includes the following steps of: removing damaged or degraded shingles; removing foreign substances of a floor surface from which the shingles have been removed; forming a waterproofing layer on the floor surface from which the foreign substances have been removed; forming a waterproofing sheet on the surface of the waterproofing layer; and forming shingles on the surface of the waterproofing sheet. According to the present invention, the gable roof replacement method reduces time and costs and makes a repair effect long-lasting. Moreover, according to the present invention, the gable roof replacement method enables long-period and stable use due to a simple repair process that provides excellent adhesiveness, weatherability, durability, water resistance, wear resistance and the like.
