REFRACTORY COMPOSITION AND SLIDE GATE PLATE FOR STEEL CASTING BY USING IT
The present invention relates to a refractory composition and a slide gate plate for steel casting manufactured with the same. The slide gate plate for steel casting with a refractory composition formed by sintering which includes multiple components, includes a main component forming a base composition, wherein the main component includes 75 wt% or more and 90 wt% or less of CaO stabilized zirconia, and 5 wt% or more and 15 wt% or less of carbon, and the carbon contains 4 wt% or more and 13 wt% or less of flake graphite and 1.0 wt% or more and 2.0 wt% or less of carbon black with respect to total weight. The slide gate plate for steel casting is manufactured to obtain a refractory composition with increased improved corrosion resistance and spalling resistance, thereby increasing resistance to chemical molding for casting high oxygen steel including such as Nb, Mn, and Cr. Therefore, the costs and time for maintenance of the refractory composition of slide gate plate can be reduced. Also, delay of casting caused by unnecessary repair is prevented, thereby improving productivity.
