A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The present invention relates to a gallery window for side walls of a traditional market arcade capable of preventing snow or rainwater from being permeated into an air flowing space of a side gallery window by strong wind as polycarbonate panels obliquely mounted outward from the top are arranged at a predetermined height such that air can pass between the bottom of one polycarbonate panel and the top of another one. The gallery window for side walls of a traditional market arcade comprising a plurality of support columns vertically installed at a predetermined interval along both side buildings and a roof structure formed of a series of frameworks with frames into a roof shape while both sides are convexly formed on the top of the support pillars and having roof sheets arranged between the frames is formed by mounting polycarbonate panels at a predetermined interval. The polycarbonate panels are formed between two vertical frames vertically extended downward from the top between the close support pillars into a long plate shape and has bar-shaped panel fixing frames formed on the top and the bottom such that both ends can be obliquely extended outward from the top of the vertical frames. According to the present invention, the gallery window for side walls of a traditional market arcade additionally comprises auxiliary panels having the top mounted on panel fixing frames positioned on the bottom of the polycarbonate panels to be rotated and the bottom being in contact with panel fixing frames formed on the top of the polycarbonate panels positioned in the lower part when rotated.
