본 발명의 코디어라이트 소결체는, X선 회절도에 있어서, 코디어라이트의 (110)면의 피크톱 강도에 대한, 코디어라이트 성분 이외의 각 성분의 최대 피크의 강도의 총합의 비가 0.0025 이하인 것이다. 이 코디어라이트 소결체는 코디어라이트 성분 이외의 이상(異相)이 매우 적기 때문에, 표면을 경면상으로 연마했을 때의 표면 평탄성이 높아진다.
