According to the present invention, provided are a single phase brushless motor, and a powered tool a vehicle window lifter using the motor. The motor includes a stator and a rotor, the stator includes a stator core and coil, and the stator coil includes a yoke and a tooth internally extended from the yoke. The tooth includes a tooth tip, and the tooth tip includes a first and a second pole shoe. The tooth tip has a position setting groove faced with the rotor between the first and the second pole shoe. The rotor is received in a space defined between the first and the second pole shoe, and includes multiple permanent poles arranged in a radial direction of the rotor. The first and the second pole shoe are symmetrical with respect to a central line of a tooth body, so starting performance of the rotor to one direction is larger than that to the opposite direction.
