The present invention relates to an excavator having a variable boom, comprising: a first stage boom hinged to a driving body on one end thereof and operated by a boom cylinder; a second stage boom connected to the other end of the first stage boom, and connected to the boom cylinder on one end thereof through a joint portion; an arm connected to the other end of the second stage boom on one end thereof, and operated by an arm cylinder installed in the second stage boom; a bucket connected to the other end of the arm, and operated by a bucket cylinder installed in the arm; and a variable cylinder formed in the joint portion connecting the first stage boom and the second stage boom, and hinge-moving the first stage boom and the second stage boom to each other, thereby capable of working in a wider range and performing safe operation without forcibly moving the excavator.
본 발명은 가변식 붐을 구비한 굴삭기는 주행몸체에 일단이 힌지 결합되어 붐 실린더에 의해 동작하는 1단 붐; 상기 1단 붐의 타단과 연결되는 관절부를 통해 상기 붐 실린더와 일단이 연결되는 2단 붐; 일단이 상기 2단 붐의 타단에 연결되고, 상기 2단 붐에 설치되는 암 실린더에 의해 동작하는 암; 상기 암의 타단에 연결되고, 상기 암에 설치되는 버켓 실린더에 의해 동작하는 버켓; 및 상기 1단 붐과 상기 2단 붐를 연결하는 상기 관절부 상에 형성되어, 상기 1단 붐과 상기 2단 붐을 상호 힌지 운동시키는 가변 실린더;를 포함한다.
