Apparatus for storage of hazardous material
A storage apparatus for hazardous substances comprises: a housing; an external door forming an inner space with the housing; multiple storage compartments provided in the inner space and forming storage spaces to store hazardous substances therein; a spray means provided in an upper part of each of the storage compartments and spraying a water-based fire extinguishing agent to the hazardous substances when a fire occurs in the hazardous substances; and a water level sensor installed at a predetermined height inside the storage compartments to sense the level of the fire extinguishing agent sprayed by the spray means, wherein the spray means is controlled to spray the fire extinguishing agent until it is detected by the water level sensor that the hazardous substances are submerged in the fire extinguishing agent at a predetermined water level. Accordingly, the storage apparatus of the present invention not only extinguishes a fire at early stages when the explosion or fire occurs in the hazardous substances having a possibility of explosion or fire but prevents a secondary explosion and fire, thereby storing the hazardous substances in safety.
본 발명에 따른 위험물 보관장치는, 하우징; 상기 하우징과 내부 공간을 형성하는 외부도어; 상기 내부 공간에 구비되고, 내부에 위험물을 보관할 수 있도록 보관 공간을 형성하는 복수의 보관룸; 상기 보관룸 각각의 상부에 구비되고, 상기 위험물에 화재가 발생할 때 상기 위험물에 수계의 소화약제를 분사하는 분사 수단; 및 상기 분사 수단에 의하여 분사된 상기 소화약제의 수위를 감지하도록 상기 보관룸의 내부에 소정의 높이로 설치되는 수위 센서를 포함하고, 상기 분사 수단은, 상기 위험물이 상기 수위 센서에 의하여 기설정된 수위로 상기 소화약제에 잠기는 것이 감지될 때까지 상기 소화약제를 분사하도록 제어되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 따라, 본 발명은, 폭발 및 화재 가능성이 있는 위험물에 폭발 또는 화재가 발생하였을 때에 화재를 조기에 진압할 뿐 아니라 2차적인 폭발 및 화재를 방지하여 위험물을 안전하게 보관할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
