Techniques for operating an autonomous vehicle station are described. One technique includes receiving information indicating the arrival of a vehicle at a station designated for primary service. The technique further includes measuring a first parameter associated with the vehicle using at least one sensor positioned at the station. The technique also includes, based on the information and the first parameter, performing a first action for providing the primary service to the vehicle. Additionally, the technique includes determining an auxiliary service to be provided to the vehicle while performing the first action.
