FIELD: building materials.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a building material, a stacked block of the building materials and a method for performing construction work with the building material. The technical result that is described below is achieved in that the building material contains a substantially rectangular body of the plate-like building material containing the first facet and the surface with an artistic design within the first facet; and a protective sheet removably attached to the body of the building material, moreover, the surface with an artistic design contains a covered area that is covered with a protective sheet and is thus protected, and an open area that is not covered with a protective sheet and is formed on a flat surface running along the first end section with an artistic design, and the first end section with an artistic design is the end section of the surface with an artistic design, and the technical result is achieved by a block of such building materials laid in a stack and a method of performing construction work with such a building material.EFFECT: creation of a building material, stacked in a block of building materials and a method of performing construction work with building material, providing an opportunity to improve the performance of construction work while protecting the surface with an artistic design from damage.11 cl, 21 dwg
