METHOD TO ACTIVATE PHYLLOSILICATE MINERALS AND ACTIVATED MATERIALS OBTAINABLE THEREFROM
The present invention relates to a mechanochemical activation of phyllosilicate minerals, such as clay minerals, having an amorphous content of at least 10 wt. % as determined by XRD under an atmosphere of CO2. The invention further related to the activated materials obtainable by said methods and uses thereof. The invention further relates to compositions comprising the mechanochemically activated materials and a further material selected from the group consisting of asphalt, cement, geopolymers, polymers and combinations thereof. The invention further relates to concrete and methods of their preparation.
