SYSTEME DE SIGNALISATION DE REGULATION DU TRAFIC ROUTIER
The invention is intended to replace three-colour traffic lights or STOP signs in order to enable motorists to benefit from an alternation of right of way at intersections, without any prolonged or superfluous waiting times in the cases where concurrent lanes are either congested or free of vehicles. The invention comprises an illuminated signal (3) controlled by a traffic light controller and representing a STOP or give-way sign post in force in the highway code. The illuminated signal remains lit for as long as the lights of concurrent lanes, where applicable, are green (1), yellow (2), or for as long as the STOP/give-way signalsof concurrent lanes are off, where applicable. It is advantageous to combine three-colour traffic lights with the signal (3) on the same sign post so as to render the right of way explicit.
L'invention vise à se substituer aux feux de circulation tricolores ou aux panneaux STOP afin de faire bénéficier les automobilistes d'une alternance de priorité de passage aux intersections, sans contrainte d'attente prolongée ni superflue dans les cas respectifs où les voies concurrentes sont encombrées ou libres de véhicules. L'invention comprend un signal lumineux (3) commandé par un contrôleur de feux et représentant un panneau de signalisation STOP ou cédez-le-passage en vigueur dans le code de la route. Le signal lumineux reste allumé tant que les feux des voies concurrentes, s'ils existent, sont au vert (1), au jaune (2), ou tant que les signaux STOP/cédez-le-passage des voies concurrentes sont éteints, s'ils existent. Il est avantageux de combiner sur le même panneau des feux tricolores au signal (3) pour rendre la priorité de passage explicite.
