CUT STONE CONSTRUCTION AND MASONRY METHOD
The cut stone construction and masonry method is a wall (10) construction technique using the Flemish bond pattern and utilizing natural stone cut in blocks (16a, 16b, 16c). The technique employs only vertically oriented semi-dry mortar layers (20) between the stones (16a, 16b, 16c). No horizontal mortar layers (18) are used in the construction, except at the foundation (12) level. Use is made of the dry-stacking, horizontal surface bonding techniques developed by the ancient Egyptians.
L'invention concerne un procédé de construction en pierres de taille et de maçonnerie qui est une technique de construction de paroi (10) utilisant le motif de liaison flamand et utilisant la pierre naturelle découpée en blocs (16a, 16b, 16c). La technique emploie uniquement des couches de mortier semi-sec orientées verticalement (20) entre les pierres (16a, 16b, 16c). Il n'y a pas de couches de mortier horizontales (18) qui sont utilisées dans la construction, sauf au niveau de la fondation (12). Une utilisation est faite des techniques de liaison de surface horizontale d'empilage à sec développées dans l'Égypte ancienne.
