METHOD FOR PRODUCING HONEYCOMB FILTER
Provided is a method for producing a honeycomb filter, said method: making it possible, even when silicon carbide powder serving as a starting material is of low purity and a silicon compound is included, to promote the bonding of silicon carbide particles to each other by converting the silicon compound, which is an impurity, into another compound in a production step; and making it possible to produce a honeycomb filter having satisfactory properties as a filter. This method for producing a honeycomb filter is characterized by comprising: a molded article starting material preparation step in which a molded article starting material is prepared by mixing silicon carbide powder, which includes at least 3 wt% of impurities comprising a silicon compound, and an organic additive, which includes at least an organic binder; a molded article production step in which a honeycomb molded article is produced by extrusion molding the prepared molded article starting material; a degreasing step in which the produced honeycomb molded article is degreased in a perfect inert gas atmosphere; and a sintering step in which the degreased honeycomb molded article is sintered.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'un filtre en nid d'abeilles, ledit procédé permettant, même lorsque la poudre de carbure de silicium servant de matériau de départ présente une faible pureté et lorsqu'un composé de silicium est inclus, de favoriser la liaison de particules de carbure de silicium les unes avec les autres en convertissant le composé de silicium, qui est une impureté, en un autre composé au cours d'une étape de production. Ledit procédé permet également de produire un filtre en nid d'abeilles possédant des propriétés satisfaisantes en tant que filtre. Ledit procédé de production de filtre en nid d'abeilles est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les étapes suivantes : une étape de préparation de matériau de départ d'article moulé, au cours de laquelle un matériau de départ d'article moulé est préparé par mélange de poudre de carbure de silicium, qui comprend au moins 3 % en poids d'impuretés comportant un composé de silicium, et un additif organique, qui comprend au moins un liant organique ; une étape de production d'article moulé, au cours de laquelle un article moulé en nid d'abeille est produit par moulage par extrusion du matériau de départ d'article moulé préparé ; une étape de dégraissage, au cours de laquelle l'article moulé en nid d'abeilles est dégraissé dans une atmosphère de gaz inerte parfaite ; et une étape de frittage, au cours de laquelle l'article moulé en nid d'abeilles dégraissé est fritté.
