PLUMBING ATTACHMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A plumbing attachment system according to a first embodiment includes a pipe, a flexible spud, and a gasket. The flexible spud may be sealingly attached to a hole in a tank to provide a liquid proof seal therebetween. The flexible spud includes a flexible ring portion, which enables the system to be inserted into and to be retained within the hole of the tank. A plumbing attachment system according to a second embodiment comprises a new pipe, drain gasket, collar, and compression gasket, where the system is configured for attachment to an existing pipe construct. In a third embodiment, the system includes a pipe-guiding connector, sized and dimensioned to mate with a pipe and to provide a guiding track ("shelf) for positioning the pipe relative to a hole in a tank for ease of installation. Methods of installing the attachment systems in plumbing applications are also disclosed.
L'invention concerne un système de fixation de plomberie selon un premier mode de réalisation de l'invention qui comprend un tuyau, un raccord flexible et un joint. Le raccord flexible peut être fixé à étanchéité à un orifice dans une cuve afin d'assurer une étanchéité aux liquides entre eux. Le raccord flexible comprend une partie annulaire flexible, ce qui permet au système d'être inséré et d'être retenu à l'intérieur de l'orifice de la cuve. Un système de fixation de plomberie selon un deuxième mode de réalisation de l'invention comprend un autre tuyau, un joint de drain, un collier et un joint de compression, le système étant conçu pour être fixé à une construction de tuyau existante. Dans un troisième mode de réalisation, le système comprend un raccord de guidage de tuyau, calibré et dimensionné pour s'accoupler à un tuyau et pour fournir une piste de guidage (plateau) permettant de positionner le tuyau par rapport à un orifice dans une cuve dans le but de faciliter l'installation. L'invention concerne également des procédés consistant à installer les systèmes de fixation dans des applications de plomberie.
