Dans un atténuateur de chocs (10) comprenant un élément déformable (20) avec une première et une seconde extrémité ainsi qu'un système de déformation dudit élément déformable (20) possédant un boîtier (30) avec un espace vide et un guide (40) coulissant le long du boîtier (30), une partie de l'élément déformable (20) est disposée dans un espace vide du boîtier (30), disposition selon laquelle ledit élément déformable (20), au niveau de la première extrémité (21) située à l'extérieur de l'espace vide (31) du boîtier (30), a une poignée (22) pouvant être fixée au guide (40), tandis que la seconde extrémité (23) dudit élément déformable (20) est libre, et entre la première (21) et la seconde extrémité (23) dudit élément déformable (20) se trouve un coude avec une zone de déformation (24) dudit élément déformable (20), qui se déplace pendant l'extraction de l'élément déformable (20) du boîtier (30) pendant le déplacement du guide (40) au boîtier (30) de l'élément déformable (10).
