This control method is for a motor grader provided with: a blade provided between front wheels and rear wheels attached to a vehicle body; and a height adjustment mechanism for adjusting the height of the blade. The motor grader control method is provided with a step in which the current terrain shape in front of the motor grader is acquired and a step in which the height of the blade with respect to the front wheels is adjusted on the basis of the current terrain shape.
