GEOPOLYMERIC COATING SYSTEM FOR FIBER CEMENT PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to a geopolymer coating composition for coating fiber cement products as well as to the fiber cement products obtainable therewith. More specifically, the present invention relates to a geopolymeric coating composition comprising from about 5 to about 60% by weight of metakaolin and/or fly ash, an alkali metal (M) silicate wherein the molar ratio of SiO2 versus M2O in said alkali metal silicate is between about 1 and about 2, preferably between about 1.2 and about 1.5, and water and wherein the molar ratio of Si versus Al in said coating composition is between about 1 and about 5.5, preferably between about 2.3 and about 5.3. The invention further provides fiber cement products comprising on their outer surface one or more cured layers of said geopolymeric coating composition. The invention further provides processes for producing such fiber cement products. The present invention further relates to various uses of these fiber cement products, in particular as building materials.
La présente invention concerne une composition de revêtement de géopolymère pour le revêtement de produits en fibrociment ainsi que les produits en fibrociment pouvant être obtenus avec celle-ci. Plus spécifiquement, la présente invention concerne une composition de revêtement géopolymère comprenant d'environ 5 à environ 60 % en poids de métakaolin et/ou de cendres volantes, un silicate de métal alcalin (M), le rapport molaire SiO2/M2O dans ledit silicate de métal alcalin étant compris entre environ 1 et environ 2, de préférence entre environ 1,2 et environ 1,5, et de l'eau et le rapport molaire Si/Al dans ladite composition de revêtement étant compris entre environ 1 et environ 5,5, de préférence entre environ 2,3 et environ 5,3. L'invention concerne en outre des produits en fibrociment comprenant, sur leur surface externe, une ou plusieurs couches durcies de ladite composition de revêtement géopolymère. L'invention concerne en outre des procédés de production de tels produits en fibrociment. La présente invention concerne en outre difféentes utilisations de ces produits en fibrociment, en particulier en tant que matériaux de construction.
