ADAPTER FOR CONNECTING SANDWICH PANELS TO POLYCARBONATE PANELS
A modular panel system (50) includes adjacent first (10) and second (20', 20") type panels, the first type panel being fixed to a building structure (52). The first and second types have different coefficients of thermal expansion. The invention provides various types of coupling members (51', 51") that are attachable to both panels in such manner as to withstand forces applied to either surface of the panel system while allowing the panels to thermally expand along their common seams at different rates.
L'invention concerne un système de panneaux modulaire (50) comportant des premier (10) et second (20', 20") types de panneaux adjacents, le premier type de panneau étant fixé à une structure de construction (52). Les premiers et second types présentent des coefficients de dilatation thermique différents. L'invention concerne divers types d'éléments d'accouplement (51', 51") qui peuvent être fixés aux deux panneaux de manière à résister à des forces appliquées à l'une ou l'autre surface du système de panneaux tout en permettant aux panneaux de se dilater thermiquement le long de leurs joints communs à des vitesses différentes.
