[Problem] To provide an approval system with which it is possible, when the number or frequency of guests has increased, to reduce the burden of an invitation procedure to be performed by a host, and to prevent invitation of impersonators and unintended third persons. [Solution] An approval system 1X in which: a representative guest terminal 10A acquires from sub-guest terminals 10B, 10C information pertaining to the sub-guest terminals 10B, 10C; a host terminal 10H acquires from the representative guest terminal 10A information with signature pertaining to each of the terminals 10A, 10B, and 10C and verifies the information; and a management server 20 acquires from the host terminal 10H information pertaining to the terminal 10H and the information with signature pertaining to each of the terminals 10A, 10B, and 10C and verifies the information, performs authentication on the basis of pre-registered information pertaining to the host terminal 10H, registers the information pertaining to each of the terminals 10A, 10B, and 10C if the authentication has been successful, performs authentication by acquiring from a smart lock 30 information pertaining to the terminals 10A, 10B, and 10C, and causes the smart lock 30 to be unlocked in accordance with the result of authentication.
