The invention is a method for fabricating multi-layer ceramic broadband radome by thermal spraying coating materials on the radome. The assembled structure exhibits tuned RF transparency response depending on the thickness and the dielectric constant of the deposited layers. Sub-micron thick ceramic layers, which are essential for broadband performance and hard to produce due to their fragile nature, can be deposited on big and complex objects by a fast and automated process.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de radôme à large bande céramique multicouche par projection thermique de matériaux de revêtement sur le radôme. La structure assemblée présente une réponse de transparence RF réglée en fonction de l'épaisseur et de la constante diélectrique des couches déposées. Des couches céramiques d'épaisseur submicronique, qui sont essentielles pour des performances à large bande et difficiles à produire en raison de leur nature fragile, peuvent être déposées sur des objets complexes et de grande taille par un processus rapide et automatisé.
