Die Erfindung betrifft einen Verbinder (1) für zwei Werkstücke (2, 3), mit zwei Beschlägen (4, 5), die jeweils eine Montageseite (6) für ein Werkstück (2, 3) und eine gegenüberliegende Verbindungsseite (7) haben, an welcher sie in einer parallel zur Verbindungsseite (7) verlaufenden Einhängerichtung (R) ineinander einhängbar sind, wobei jeder Beschlag (4, 5) an seiner Verbindungsseite (7) einen quer zur Einhängerichtung (R) über seine gesamte Breite (B) verlaufenden Absatz (11) mit einer Hinterschneidung (14) aufweist, welche einen Steg (16) auf dem Absatz (11) belässt, und seine dem Absatz (11) ferne, der Verbindungsseite (7) benachbarte Stirnseite (13) eine quer zur Einhängerichtung (R) über seine gesamte Breite (B) verlaufende, an die Verbindungsseite (7) angrenzende Lippe (17) hat, und wobei in einer ersten ineinander eingehängten Stellung der Beschläge (4, 5) die Lippe (17) jedes Beschlags (4, 5) in die Hinterschneidung (14) des jeweils anderen Beschlags (5, 4) eingreift.
