Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines keramischen Formkörpers, insbesondere eines dentalen keramischen Formkörpers, das die gezielte Einstellung von physikalischen Eigenschaften des Formkörpers ermöglicht, wobei ein poröser keramischer Formkörper mit einem mindestens einen ChelatLiganden haltigen Fluid behandelt wird. Darüber hinaus betrifft die Erfindung einen keramischen Formkörper, der nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erhalten wird. Darüber hinaus betrifft die Erfindung die Verwendung des erfindungsgemäßen keramischen Formkörpers zur Herstellung von Zahnrestaurationen, wie einem Inlay, Onlay, Veneer, einer Krone, Bracket, Brücke oder eines Gerüsts, Abutments oder Implantats.
