A DEVICE FOR DISPENSING GRANULAR GRITTING MATERIAL
The invention relates to a device (10) for dispensing granular gritting material (20) comprising a container (11) for holding the granular gritting material (20), which container (11) has an upper end (24) and a lower end (25); an openably closable inlet opening (17) at the container (11) for filling the granular gritting material (20) in to the container (11); -a compressed gas providing means (12, 14, 15, 30) for providing pressurized gas (21) into the container (11); -a control valve (14) for controlling the amount of gas flowing from the compressed gas providing means (12, 14, 15, 30) to the container (11); -a spreading means (16) connected to container (11) at a connection point (22) for spreading the granular gritting material (20) out from the container (11); -disengaging means (28, 36) for preventing blocking and/or arching of the granular gritting material (20) in the container (11), and wherein in the device (10) the connection point (22) of the spreading15 means (16) is placed at the lower end (25) of the container (11).
