Provided is a magnesia-alumina castable that can provide a good balance of both corrosion resistance and thermal spalling resistance. The magnesia-alumina castable according to the present invention contains 60-90 mass% magnesia, 10-35 mass% alumina, and 5 mass% or less silica.
