Provided in the invention are a lower hinge assembly for a refrigerator and the refrigerator. The lower hinge assembly comprises a hinge plate, a hinge shaft, a hinge shaft sleeve and a door body shaft sleeve. The hinge shaft sleeve is sleeved on the hinge shaft and is connected to the hinge plate. The door body shaft sleeve is pivotally sleeved on the hinge shaft and located above the hinge shaft sleeve. The hinge shaft sleeve is matched with the door body shaft sleeve to enable the door body to be rotatably connected relative to the refrigerator body. A plurality of upper convex parts is arranged on the hinge shaft sleeve at intervals in the circumferential direction of the hinge shaft. A plurality of lower concave parts is arranged on the door body shaft sleeve at intervals in the circumferential direction of the hinge shaft. Part of the upper convex parts are matched with the corresponding lower concave parts at intervals, so as to reduce noise in the rotating process.
