Experimental Study on Repairing Old Concrete with Slag-Fly Ash Geopolymer Concrete
In this paper, old concrete was repaired by slag-fly ash geopolymer concrete (SFGPC) and the effect of interfacial roughness and interfacial agent on the bond strength of old and new concrete was investigated using splitting tensile strength tests. The test results show that too large or too small roughness at the bonding interface is not conducive to the bonding behavior of SFGPC with old concrete, and a reasonable roughness (2.4-4.8mm) can increase the bond strength of SFGPC with existing concrete by more than 50%-70%. The effect of interface agent on the bond strength is geopolymer slurry > no interface agent > geopolymer mortar > fly ash, where the most effective geopolymer slurry interface agent can increase the bond strength by more than 24%.
