A study on strategy schema for smart cities based on the innovation driven
Economic, ecological, and social factors are forcing our cities to become more innovative, intelligent and sustainable. A new generation of cities, named smart cities, is emerging throughout the world towards distinctive and livable development. These cities are particularly perceived as favorable breeding territories for innovation and economic growth due to their specific advantages and positive externalities of their innovation systems. However, smart cities are not built in a day. Based on the lessons from world famous cities' formulation path, it has a long way to go before researching the vision of full sustainability. Thus, we put forward a framework of strategy schema for smart cities including six strategies and we also highlight the importance of interactions between different strategies.
