Evaluation of the Thyroid Cancer Treatment Techniques with Fuzzy VIKOR
Thyroid cancer is the most common endocrine malignancy associated with follicular or non-follicular thyroid cells. While ionizing radiation is a significant risk factor for thyroid cancer, other variables like smoking, obesity, hormone exposure, and environmental pollutants also contribute. This study aims to evaluate current treatment alternatives for thyroid cancer to find the most effective ones. This will assist clinicians and patient families in selecting the most effective treatment option with the most negligible adverse side effects. The study employed the technique of fuzzy-based VIKOR (VlseKriterijumska Optimizcija I Kaompromisno Resenje). Targeted therapy outperformed other alternatives and was ranked the most preferred treatment option for thyroid cancer. This result is based on the criteria chosen. These include treatment cost, length, survival rate, recovery time, and side effects. The fuzzy VIKOR method is a realistic and straightforward way to decide which procedures are appropriate for a patient. It also suggests less desirable therapy options to keep the patient comfortable and pain-free.
