Random Hydrodynamic Force on Dams from Earthquakes
A new solution for the hydrodynamic force on gravity dams during earthquakes has been obtained. The horizontal acceleration of earthquakes is modelled by a time-dependent random process and the force response solution is given in terms of non-stationary power spectral density and the mean square function.
