Annual Housing Survey: 1982. Housing Characteristics for Selected Metropolitan Areas: San Diego, California, Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area
This report presents statistics on housing and household characteristics from the 1982 Annual Housing Survey (AHS) conducted in the San Diego, Calif., Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA). The report consists of five parts covering statistics on general housing characteristics, indicators of housing and neighborhood quality, financial characteristics, recent mover households, and financial characteristics cross-classified by indicators of housing and neighborhood quality. Data are given for all races, for black households, and for Spanish-origin households. The area was represented by a sample of about 4,250 designated housing units divided between the central city and the rest of the SMSA. A series of standard tables presents data for housing units in each area. Separate data are shown for 'in central cities' and 'not in central cities.' Appendix A describes the geographic area classifications, provides definitions and explanations of the subjects covered in this report, and contains a facsimile of the questionnnaire. Appendix B presents information on sample design, estimation, and data accuracy. Footnotes and a table-finding guide are also included.
