Archaeological Investigations in the Tower House District, Whiskeytown Unit of the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area, Shasta County, California
The plan proposes to establish a parking area, to construct such visitor facilities as trails and bridges, and to restore structures, including upgrading of utilities. A number of historic and prehistoric sites within the Tower House District may be adversely affected by such work. Task outlined were as follows; Six sites, were to be recorded and upgraded, contour maps of sites were to be prepared showing site boundaries, features, and areas of archeological operations; specific areas to be evaluated by archeologist and subsurface testing was to be conducted to better define and describe the site.
