Chief Joseph Dam, Columbia River, Washington, Additional Units and Structural Modification Foundation Report
Report was prepared in accordance with ER 1110-1-1801, dated 15 December 1981, which requires as-built foundation reports for major construction projects. Purpose of this report is to ensure the preservation for future use of complete records of foundation conditions and treatment for the powerhouse additional units 21-27; post construction instrumentation, drain hole drilling, and rock contour maps for the spillway, nonoverflow, intake and closure monoliths; and for the left and right abutment exploration and instrumentation program. In general, the foundations of the dam and powerhouse are of excellent quality. (FR)
