Examination of available documents and visual inspection of Conewango Creek Watershed Davis Brook Dam (Site 1) and appurtenant structures did not reveal conditions which constitute a hazard to human life or property. However, the dam has some deficiences which require further investigation and remedial action. A wet condition of unknown cause was observed on the lower portion of the left downstream slope. It is recommended that the services of a qualified registered professional engineer be retained to evaluate this condition. Using the Corps of Engineers screening criteria for review of spillway adequacy, it has been determined that the dam would not be overtopped under full PMF conditions.
